Mental lockdown is starting to become a reality for many people across the world. Well, having to physically distance yourself feels unbearable and dealing with the mental lockdown gives new perspective to staying at home
Okay, so what is this thing?
It’s a state where there is a complete shut down of your thoughts, feelings and actions.
On one side, it is a state of Overthinking, frequent emotional outbursts, extreme anxiety, hyperactivity and panic attacks,
And on the other side ,a state of sadness, low moods, despair, and for others, a state of total inactivity.
It’s a complete shutdown to the reality of being alive, the reality of being you and being present.
It’s a psychological drain.
THIS IS WHERE MOST OF US ARE AT NOW.-MENTAL LOCKDOWN
In this article, I want to give hope to those dealing with depression during this mental lockdown.
How do I know that I am battling depression in the mental lockdown?
You are probably experiencing a deep state of endless internal dialogues and don’t know whether or not you will find a conclusion, or a way out.
You may be in a self crowded atmosphere with no fresh mental air to breath.
Let me make this a bit simpler
Picture someone choking up from the heat of the anxiety and panic from this whole experience….…
Imagine how overwhelming it must be not to know how to break this vicious cycle draining all energy and emotion out of that person.
Depression is real
The social distancing………….. the Quarantine………….the curfew, they are triggers because for some, work was their coping mechanism.
For some social gatherings were their way of remaining sane.
For others, a walk into their favorite restaurants HELPED THEM COPE
For others it was gaming………… attending fun activities and going hiking….
They are not options.
What is left?
Panic attacks and stress
Well, Here is the bright side!!!!!!
ALL HOPE ISN’T LOST!!
There Is going to be a ray of light at the end of the tunnel
All you have to do is spot the hole that lets it in….
When I interpret the hope I am sharing with you into actions
I mean that it’s time to get up and start doing the work on yourself.
So that you can find your light at the end of your tunnel.
Some tunnels are shallow, brief and straight but others are deep, curved and bumpy.
Remind yourself that the battle is all yours and you are the only one who can win it.
However, you are not alone.
You have an unstoppable inner strength!!!
You also have the inner ability to walk out of the mental lock down
Sometimes all you need is a reminder of what you carry within you to be able to get you back on your feet.
To help you brace yourself for the pressure and start shifting your thought process.
Sometimes it may be as simple as taking a bath to keep sane
You are stronger than the mental lockdown you are experiencing.
You are the hero.
