This Initiative started in May 2021 to build resilience among young people battling with mental illness majorly after losing their sources of income due to the impact of COVID19.
Hopewell Foundation has 3 goals.
1. Raise mental health awareness through circuits across the country
2. Offer free therapy sessions to youth who cannot afford them
3. Break mental health stigma through storytelling

Hopewell Foundation began as an Initiave dubbed Ï Support Mental Health” in 2021 to give back to the local community during the tough pandemic era.

Hopewell Foundation provided free therapy/counseling services to 50 youth through a team of 30 Counselors . The Foundation impacted 200+ youth through mental health awareness events held in 3 counties across the country (Mavoko, Uasin Gishu and Kisumu).The Foundation also worked with Creatives to break stigma on mental health through artwork expressions of poetry and spoken word performed during the circuits and published on our blog.

 

IN 2022, Hopewell Foundation is offering free counseling to 100 youth through a team of 56 Professionals. The Foundation is has held 5 Circuits si total (3 last year) and 2 this year (Nairobi and Nakuru). Lastly the Foundation is telling the stories of people with lived experience, indirectly affected by mental illness and advocates through the Youtube Channel.  Please subscribe.
